Looking out the window and now seeing our blue skies turn to grey, the temperature drop below 20ºC and watch our summer tans slowly fade away, everyone seems to be preparing for hibernation mode. Additionally, with the release of new movies such as Stephen King’s IT: Chapter 2, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, Toy Story 4 and The Lion King, we’re looking to participate in more indoor activities to shelter away from the wind and rain that is honing in on the island. But as islanders, we know its difficult to keep the family and ourselves entertained during the colder months, so we’ve created a list of ways for you to save money at the movies this Autumn.

Cineworld Unlimited Card

If you’re a movie-enthusiast and love to eat copious amounts of popcorn, consider the Cineworld Unlimited Card. For £18.40 per month, you have unlimited access to any movie screen you wish to see during the minimum 12-month period of your subscription. If you don’t like the thought of committing to payments each month, you can choose the Annual Subscription of a one-off payment being £220.80 instead.

1 x Adult Ticket = £12.10. Therefore, to enjoy the benefits of your Unlimited Card, you should go to 1.5 movies. And since you can’t go to 1.5 screenings, unless you walk out halfway through… going to 2 movies per month will benefit you in the long-run.

Additional Benefits:

  • Unlimited Screenings will be offered to you before anyone else. So you can be in the know before all your friends and family.
  • Receive 10% off all in-cinema food and drinks, and we know how easy it is to get carried away when you’re at the popcorn counter!
  • 10% off at Bento, AquaSplash and The Bar & Canteen, so you can splash around before your movie screen and grab a bite to eat, and then enjoy sushi for dinner afterwards.
  • If you recommend a friend, you can receive one month per friend free, on your membership.

This can be difficult if you work 9-5pm, but in case you’re able to take the family/friends to see a movie in the day, tickets will be cheaper Monday-Friday before 5pm.
